Frequently Asked Questions
Why is a score delayed or different from TV broadcasts?
Live cricket scores are provided via third-party digital feeds. Television and satellite broadcasts often operate with differing transmission latencies (between a few seconds to a minute). Network conditions or temporary feed synchronisation can also cause brief delays before a scorecard refreshes.
Why do I see sample matches?
When third-party live data feeds are temporarily undergoing maintenance, or when live matches are unavailable, Cricket Live displays simulated demo/sample match data so that you can explore the scorecard and match centre features without an empty screen. Live scores resume automatically once feeds reconnect.
How do I follow a match?
You can easily bookmark any ongoing, upcoming, or completed match by tapping the heart icon located on the match card or match centre screen. Tapping it again unfollows the match.
Where are my followed matches?
All followed matches appear in the Following tab of the app. Your followed list is stored locally on your Android device only; it is never uploaded to an external server and will be cleared if the app is uninstalled.
Why do I see ads?
Cricket Live is 100% free to download and use with zero paywalls or subscriptions. Third-party advertisements via Google AdMob fund server infrastructure, bandwidth, and ongoing maintenance.
How do I change ad consent / personalised ads?
You have two easy ways to adjust ad privacy:
- In-App (EEA/UK/CH users): Open the app's Settings screen and select Privacy options to update your Google UMP consent preferences at any time.
- System-wide (all Android users): Open Android Settings > Privacy > Ads and choose Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
How do I delete my data?
Because followed matches and app settings exist only on your phone, you can delete all on-device data instantly by uninstalling the application or tapping Clear Data in Android Settings.
For telemetry/crash data stored in Firebase or AdMob associated with your device advertising ID, email us at craftlycode21@gmail.com and we will initiate deletion within 30 days.
Do I need an account?
No. Cricket Live does not have user accounts, profiles, passwords, or logins. You can open the app and instantly track matches without signing in or providing any personal details.
Does the app send push notifications?
No. Cricket Live does not send push notifications or request notification permissions. You can check scores and commentary whenever you open the app without unwanted alerts.
How do I report a bug or display error?
To report a bug, crash, or rendering issue, please email craftlycode21@gmail.com with the subject line "Cricket Live Bug Report". Please include:
- Your device manufacturer and model (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S23, Redmi Note 12).
- Your Android version (e.g. Android 13 or 14).
- A brief description of what happened or screenshots if possible.
